girl fun!

I figured I should fill everyone in on my first weekend back in Galway after a few weeks! It was so nice to be back, and let me tell you, the weekend was definitely successful, and full of such girl fun!

Abby and I started our weekend off with a nice little date to go shopping. She is the best person ever to go shopping with because she always tells me I look pretty, and always tells me what things look good and what I should buy. So, she talked me in to this adorable gray leather jacket, some brown tights, and some adorable gold flats, all of which go perfect with my new dress from London! Then, we went into an adorable cafe. I got the soup of the day, which oddly enough is always vegetable, no matter what pub you go to, and Abby got a scone. We had girl talk for so long, then had even more girl talk with the man who was working at the cafe. He found out I was from MA and immediately asked me how I felt about the recent senate election. He was such an angel and so interested in our opinions. I definitely will be going back there again. Then we headed back home to watch some Laguna Beach and make dinner, all while laying on the couch for hours. We finally decided to start moving, and we went to see our favorite bands at one of our favorite clubs. They were fantastic, as always, and so dreamy. We stood behind them the whole time, in complete awe. I think they may have caught on.

The next morning, Zach and I went downtown to my favorite place in Galway, the market! It was such a nice day out, and we just walked around, looking at all the things they were selling, and debating what on earth we should get for food. We finally decided on crepes, and if that wasn't the best decision of my life, I don't know what it. My crepe was filled with ham, 3 cheeses (one of which was feta), sun dried tomatoes, and pesto. Honestly, putting this delicious pice of art to words would not even do it justice. Everyone needs to get one. Fly to Galway just to get one. Then, get the doughnuts after...which is exactly what Zach and I did. We got a bag of 6, so each of us had 3. They were as perfect as they always are, and I haven't stopped dreaming about them since. Thank god I will be here next weekend to get them again...probably getting the 6 all to myself. After our bellies were full, Zach and I roamed into Topshop, the most expensive store around with the most beautiful clothing. It must have been my lucky day because I found 2 sweaters, on sale. Then, they have a student discount, which I obviously used, so I ended up spending 20 euro on 2 sweaters. Normally you can buy like one sock for that price there. But, the fashion gods were on my side, and they wanted me to look good! Then we headed off to a pub to go watch the Ireland/France rugby game! This was so much fun! Everyone was having the best time, and the game was so intense. I started to understand what was going on towards the end, and it is actually such a fun sport to watch. I felt so Irish! We ended up losing pretty badly, but it was so much fun anyway!

That night, we had a few people over. We spent the night hanging out in our living room, singing Taylor Swift songs and having the best time. But, my outfit looked amazing, so how could it have been a bad night?

The next morning was probably the most amount of girl fun I have ever had. Abby and I didn't wake up until about noon. We then ran downstairs, plopped ourselves on the couch, and didn't move for about 7 hours. We watched so many shows, but mostly almost an entire season of America's Best Dance Crew. I can officially say that I am addicted. But, it was such a lovely day, even though we barely did anything. But, such girl fun, and it was perfect!

But, overall it was a very successful weekend! So happy! And, in officially 1 week, my family will be here! I can't wait!

love you all!
