with my by myself

Thought I would do a quick little update about the lovely day I had yesterday!

So, my day didn't get started until about 1, when I walked all the way to school to go to my one class to then find out it was canceled. Cool. So, what was I to do with my time? It was such a nice day out, and I did not want to just sit at home all day. I was walking around, trying to kill time, and I ran into my friend Zach. We decided to go get sandwiches at this amazing place across the street from school. My sandwich, of course was the best, and we just sat and chit chatted. It was nice. But, Zach had class, so I needed to figure out what I was going to do. All my other friends were in class, so I just decided to walk downtown and go exploring, enjoying the beautiful day! I had to buy a children's book for one of my classes, so I went on a hunt to go find some cute little bookstores. I went into a very small secondhand bookstore and asked if the woman if she carried the Velveteen Rabbit. But, she had never heard of it. I was shocked, but I figured maybe it was just an American thing. But, I had my heart set on finding this book, so I kept looking. I stayed the next bookstore for the longest time, just roaming around and looking at all the people and books. But, they didn't have what I wanted. But, it was still the cutest store, and I stayed there for a while, looking around. Then, my next stop was this book store that is pretty much like Borders...not too charming, but I figured I would give it a try. And of course, there it was. My favorite book of all time, just sitting there, waiting for me to pick it up! Heaven. So, I bought it.

But, now that my mission was over, I needed something else to do. So, I picked up some postcards, and headed into a pub to write out my notes. I got myself a cup of coffee, and sat down and did some writing. It was actually so nice. The more I am here, the more I realize how much I love writing. It is so calming to me. Writing in my journal is one of my favorite things, and I think I'm going to keep that habit up after I leave here.

Overall, it was a very nice day. This weekend, we are staying in Galway, and I am very happy about that. I need a little travel break. Then, only one more weekend until my family comes! I can't wait! 9 more days!

Love ya'll!
